Senior Front End Software Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA

Department: Moz Analytics Applications

Type: Full Time

Min. Experience: Experienced

Moz Analytics is looking for a Senior Developer to join the Applications team.  Our team is responsible for building all of the Front End apps that deliver marketing analytics through meaningful data visualization and insight.  We want to see your passion for developing high quality software and have fun while doing it!

About the position

The Moz Analytics app itself is complex and will be all yours to play around with! I’m kidding, sort of. But seriously, we’re looking for someone who has an interest in architecture and gets a kick out of visualizing data. We also want someone who is truly Senior. While this is still an individual contributor role you will be heavily involved in setting the direction of the front end development. You will need to understand the tradeoffs with respect to the product and product requirements and work to disseminate that information amongst your team. On the soft skills side, we need an Engineer who encourages friendly debate and collaboration and who is supportive to both members of the team and the larger organization (you’ll understand when you read more about TAGFEE below).

  • Years of experience is less important than your ability to demonstrate that you are Senior in our interview process. :)
  • In depth knowledge of Javascript; comfortable using and contributing to core libraries e.g. Jquery.
  • Proficiency with backbone.js and ember.js or angular.js.
  • Experience with building Server Side languages and applications
  • Proficiency with REST APIs
  • Experience building large scale single page apps.
  • Experience with client side localization on long term large scale projects. Understanding of browser trade offs, differences in frontend performance and inconsistencies.

We’ve worked hard and deliberately to build a cultural roadmap. It’s not just about ping pong games and company parties (though we have those too!)— Learn more about it below before you apply:
